'INNER KID' GOAT YOGA
experience the fun!
Just what the heck is goat yoga you ask? Furry little critters in downward dog? Well, it’s the latest fitness craze sweeping the nation – practicing yoga whilst kids leap onto people’s backs, cruise around doling out fuzzy kisses, or gaze into a chosen human’s eyes. What could be more fun?
What began in 2016 as a one-time party in Oregon, has become a phenomenon with goat yoga sessions popping up across the country and around the world. Research shows that interaction with animals can temporarily affect the release of various neurotransmitters in the brain; levels of oxytocin (linked with bonding) and dopamine are increased, while cortisol levels and stress are decreased. Now you can experience the joy of goat yoga right here on the Olympic Peninsula, on the lawn at Dragonfly Farm during the summer, and in the heated barn at RainCoast Farms & Vineyard during the colder months.
Our Goat Yoga sesions fully book up, so reserve your place early! You can reserve by phoning Karen at 360-344-8021, or email us at dragonflyfarm.pt@gmail.com. Yoga session is 75 minutes, with another 20-30 minutes afterwards to enjoy a cup of tea and a healthy baked goodie and extra playtime with the goats. Cost is $35 per person, and season passes are available (buy 4 sessions, get 1 session FREE). Gift Certificates available.
